Construction of Surveillance Vessels

The Swedish Coast Guard will in 2021 announce the procurement of a new ship series, which is called KBV 320s. Current surveillance vessels KBV 301s are beginning to reach End Of Life (EOL) and will be replaced by the new KBV320s. KBV 301s were delivered to the Swedish Coast Guard between the years 1995–1997. KBV 301s will be replaced with a new, modern and climate-smart ship series with some kind of lightweight construction where great emphasis will be placed on LCC and LCA costs. The procurement will be carried out as a negotiated procedure with prior announcement. This means that interested suppliers can apply to participate in the procurement. If the supplier meets KBV's requirements on the supplier, it will proceed in the procurement. Negotiations may be conducted with the accepted tenderers. The procurement will be carried out in Swedish and will be announced in Visma Tendsign. The procurement is planned to be announced during spring or early summer of 2021.
