Operation and Maintenance of the Proton Therapy System at the Skandion Clinic in Uppsala

Kommunalförbundet Avancerad Strålbehandling ("KAS) will carry out a procurement of the operation and maintenance of the proton therapy system at the Skandion Clinic in Uppsala for the treatment of tumors with proton radiation from 12 April 2026. The procurement will be carried out using negotiated procedure with prior publication. The supplier shall take full responsibility for the operation and maintenance (proactive and reactive) as well as updates of the proton therapy system. The supplier will need to continue to provide an oncology information system ("OIS") and provide OIS support apart of their obligations for the operation and maintenance of the proton therapy system. Use of the present OIS is the preferred option, but not a requirement. The operation and maintenance of the proton therapy system includes the responsibility of the supplier to provide spare parts as well as de-installing, collecting, storing and disposing old spare parts that have been replaced with new spare parts.
