System for Fatigue and Mechanical Testing of Materials and Components

The Group of Solid Mechanics at Luleå University of Technology intends to invest in a modern testing machine to obtain mechanical properties and fatigue properties of materials as well as components. The group conducts research on metals, rocks, polymers and granular materials and develops material models for these material. All activities require a capability to prepare adequate material samples. These are primarily specified specimens but can occasionally also be more complex geometries and components.
