Upgrade of Biomass Organosolv Batch Reactor

The scope of this procurement is to upgrade an existing pressurised organosolv pretreatment reactor from batch to continuous mode in order to enhance the capacity of delivering nano-enabled bio-based materials, and to increase the productivity and reduce the environmental footprint in terms of energy consumption and raw materials use. The reactor is located in one of LTU's premises where it is a cornerstone in ongoing research. Hence the reactor, in its current configuration, must remain at LTU during this assignment. The budget for the upgrade is set to SEK 2 300 000.
